About

Freedom’s Light Festival is a free, 3-day event where attendees can learn about the American Constitution and the nation’s founding through live reenactments, hands-on activities, and interactive storytelling. The festival is designed for all ages, with special attractions and activities for adults, teens, and kids. It will mark America's 250th anniversary, celebrating 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Dates: September 17-19, 2026
- Thursday: 9am – 4pm
- Friday: 9am – 9pm
- Saturday: 9am – 4pm
Location: Bountiful City Park, 400 N 200 W, Bountiful, UT

Scheduled attractions include:
- Meet Founding Fathers, Revolutionary leaders, Founding Mothers, and Revolutionary heroines through live portrayals and performances
- Colonial life artisans such as blacksmiths, coopers, chandlers, and spinners
- Continental soldiers and Revolutionary War cannon and musket demonstrations
- Recitations of the Declaration of Independence, soldier marches, and musical performances
- Musket, cannon, and candy cannon firings
- Food booths and a colonial book and gift store

Admission is free; no registration is mentioned. The festival offers educational and entertaining experiences for all ages and is suitable for families, history enthusiasts, students, and community members.
