Are you a bookish person who wants to make bookish friends, but a traditional book club isn’t doable for you? Maybe you have a problem with authority and don’t like being told what to read. Maybe you’re just busy and can’t commit to reading a new book every month. Is the social pressure of a book club too overwhelming?

Welcome to Silent Book Club (SBC). SBC is a global organization with chapters all around the world. Community members gather in the same place, have some casual chit chat, and then read silently together. Bring whatever you want to read! Listen to a book while you knit! Eat a pastry! It is ultimate freedom.
