Kick off Banned Books Week with us at The King’s English Bookshop!
Join us on the first day of Banned Books Week for a community Banned Books Read-In celebrating the freedom to read, the power of stories, and our right to access books.
We’ll spend the day gathering in and around the shop with a variety of ways to get involved, including:
- Audiobook walk around the 15th & 15th neighborhood — listen to a banned book while you stroll.
- Postcards available for writing to your elected representatives.
- A creative banned-books-themed craft led by BookTalkSLC and The Vibrant Book Club; check out their monthly banned book club.
- Thanks to our friends at Libro.fm, the event sponsor, you can grab a free audiobook that day.
Come read, listen, create, write, and stand with us for the freedom to read. All readers are welcome!
