Powderkeg celebrates those that love the backcountry with four days of skimo racing. Four different skimo disciplines will be on display: sprint, mixed relay, individual, and vertical. Races include the USA Skimo National Championships, plus recreational and youth divisions.
Spectators are welcome at all events and viewing is free! The Wednesday sprint race is considered the most exciting event for spectators.

- Wednesday, March 4 — 9:45 to 10:15 a.m. — Qualifiers; 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. — Finals; 2:00 p.m. — Awards. Mixed Relay — Starting near the bottom of Main Street/Last Chance Lodge
- Thursday, March 5 — 9:15 to 10:00 a.m. — Senior qualifiers; 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. — Senior heats & finals; 12:30 p.m. — Junior qualifiers; 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. — Junior heats & finals. Sprint — Starting near the bottom of Main Street/Last Chance Lodge
- Saturday, March 7 — 7:45 a.m. — Race begins; 12:30 p.m. — Awards outside Last Chance Lodge. Individual — Taking place across the mountain
- Sunday, March 8 — 7:45 a.m. — Race begins at the base of Eagle Express; 9:30 a.m. — Awards at the base of Eagle Express. Vertical Race — Starting from the base of Eagle Express
