Backcountry Basecamp

two days of demos and backcountry safety workshops with Backcountry Magazine—presented by Vuarnet. The Backcountry BASECAMP Tour is heading back to Alta and will offer free demos and educational workshops at the base of the Collins lift.

Together with Vuarnet, Backcountry Magazine brings the beta published in every issue to resorts across the U.S. From the Berkshires to the Tetons, the Rockies to the Wasatch, Backcountry Magazine will join local guides, forecasters and avalanche instructors for weekend-long pop-up events featuring gear demos, avalanche education, local forecasting and a huge opportunity drawing benefitting a local non-profit.

Throughout the weekend, the Utah Avalanche Center will join to discuss the local snowpack and general backcountry safety. Backcountry Magazine staff and The Backcountry Pros guides will be on hand both days for free workshops that freshen up beacon skills and teach basic backcountry safety and etiquette. Join us in front of the Goldminers Daughter at 4:30pm Saturday for the opportunity drawing; all proceeds go to Wasatch Backcountry Rescue.
