Craft Lake City DIY Festival

The Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons is Utah’s largest local-centric festival focusing on art, music, science, and technology. It celebrates all things handmade in Utah, featuring over 500 local artisans, vintage vendors, craft foodies, youth entrepreneurs, performers, and STEM exhibitors.

Schedule: Friday, August 7 (5PM–10PM); Saturday, August 8 (12PM–8PM for Artisan Market, to 10PM for Entertainment); Sunday, August 9 (12PM–6PM for Artisan Market, to 10PM for Entertainment).

Activities and highlights:
- Artisan Marketplace: Shop with over 300 local Utah artisans for jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts, apothecary goods, and new this year—service-based exhibitors such as tattoo artists and nail artists.
- Entertainment: Live stage performances across 3 stages with 30+ acts, featuring local bands, dance companies, and multicultural performers.
- Kids' Area: Family-friendly inflatables, pirate ship playground, face painting, and hands-on crafts; some activities have tickets sold at $3 for one and $5 for two.
- GFiber STEM Building: Hands-on exhibits, demos, games, and expert talks showcasing local innovators. Open during core festival hours.
- Indie Mountain West Showcase (Sunday only): Game developers, hobbyists, and students, with a juried awards ceremony and community engagement.
- Robot Invasion Powered by XMission: Live robot battles, hands-on driving, coding challenges, and interactive demos from FIRST Robotics League teams, held inside the Heritage Building next to the Kids’ Area.
- Dog Park Presented by Preppy Paws: A dog-friendly oasis; entry requires purchase of a Dog Ticket, proof of rabies vaccination, and a signed liability waiver.
- DIY & Demos: Live artisan demonstrations and DIY stations open to all.
- Free, live screen-printed tote bags with The Utah Shirt Company offered throughout the weekend.
- Kid Row (Saturday, 12PM–4PM): Meet 70+ young makers (18 and under) selling and showcasing their creations near the North entrance lawn.
- Food Tents & Trucks: Utah-based vendors offering global eats, sweet treats, vegan and gluten-free options, and craft food vendors selling pastries, honey, and jams.
- Festival Beverages: Local beer, spirits, kombucha, fresh juice, coffee, and free water refill stations.

Tickets can be purchased online. All ages are welcome, with specific family and kid-focused areas and activities. Dogs are welcome with a valid Dog Ticket and adherence to the posted rules.
