Rabbi Jeff Dreifus began serving as Temple Har Shalom’s Senior Rabbi in 2025. Before coming to Park City, he served as Associate Rabbi of Temple Israel in Memphis, Tennessee, one of the largest and most historic congregations in the South. He received rabbinic ordination from Hebrew Union College in New York City in 2021. As a rabbinical student, he served congregations in Juneau, Alaska, and Rye, New York.
Before beginning his rabbinical studies, Rabbi Jeff worked in investment banking and for a clean energy startup. While working in finance after college, he co-founded the TI Fellowship, recognized by Slingshot as one of the most innovative Jewish programs in the U.S. The fellowship became a model for attracting and retaining Jewish people in their 20s in communities around the country.
Rabbi Jeff graduated cum laude from WashU in St. Louis with a B.A. in economics and environmental studies. In his free time, he likes to ski, hike, rock climb, and travel with his family. He and his wife, Rachael, are proud parents to their two children, their goldendoodle, Abbey Road, and their cat, Lil.
