G. Love & Special Sauce (Night 1)

G. Love & Special Sauce is an American hip-hop blues band known for blending hip-hop, blues, funk, and soul into a laid-back, groovy sound. Formed in 1993 in Philadelphia, the original lineup featured Garrett Dutton (aka G. Love) on lead vocals and guitar, Jeffrey Clemens on drums, and Jim Prescott on bass.

Their self-titled debut album was released in 1994 on Epic Records and included the hit single "Cold Beverage," which became popular on alternative radio and MTV. Their style has been described as "slacker blues" and "alternative hip-hop," often combining 90s hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms.
