Start your morning off right with a behind-the-scenes look at the process of bringing our concerts to the stage. Finishing Touches gives our audience the opportunity to observe working rehearsals; selections from the program will be rehearsed at the discretion of the conductor.

Utah Symphony-favorite Conrad Tao returns to Abravanel Hall for what’s sure to be a show-stopping Mozart concerto. At just 31 years old, Tao has made an indelible mark on the classical scene as both soloist and composer, appearing on major stages around the globe. He is the winner of numerous awards and honors, including the sole classical artist named by Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30” in the music industry.

“Peak Mozart” is highly subjective, but you just might find it in the splendor of Piano Concerto No. 20 and Symphony No. 40. (Composed alongside other masterpieces, No. 40 is also one of his most popular and admired.) You’ll find everything you love about Mozart’s genius here: playful lyricism, sublime joy, and instantly recognizable melodies.
