About

Opening reception for Coloring Nature, leaf printing by Adeline and Jeannette Luke. Exhibit runs from April 16–May 22.

Artist's Statement

We hope you enjoy our show “Coloring Nature”. To create these images, we collected the most interesting leaves we could find from throughout our neighborhood, and then rolled fun colors of printmaking ink onto them. The inky leaves were then laid onto paper and run through a printing press. The result is intricate patterns of nature depicted in bold and bright colors. We like to try to see different stories in the leaf patterns. What stories do you see?

Artist's Bio

Adeline (age 10) and her mom, Jeanette, are an art team focused especially on printmaking. They love trying all kinds of art, and especially love doing art together. They share a basement studio in their house where the walls are covered with all sorts of creations.
