About

Experience a large-scale art installation by Icelandic-Danish artist Olafur Eliasson titled "A symphony of disappearing sounds for the Great Salt Lake." The event takes place every evening from Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Memory Grove, 300 North Canyon Road, Salt Lake City, Utah.

Entry begins at 8:00 PM. The installation activates at 9:00 PM and runs for approximately 30 minutes each night.

The artwork features a musical composition made with UK-based producer Koreless using over 150 field recordings of local animals dependent on the Great Salt Lake (birds, amphibians, insects, and mammals). These sounds are combined and processed into rhythmic beats and accompanied by an evolving colorful light projection on a large elevated sphere.

RSVP via Eventbrite is optional and available for reminders and event updates. The event is open to all and encourages reflection on the lake's ecological importance.
