About
Cirque Mechanics returns with Tilt!, a new spectacle inspired by the sights, sounds, and thrills of America’s iconic 1980s amusement parks. Fresh off a Drama Desk nomination, the production blends acrobatics, inventive mechanical staging, aerial artistry, dance, and live storytelling. Following acclaimed runs in New York City and beyond, it comes to UtahPresents for one special performance as part of the Family Sunday Series.
At the center is a massive, human-powered Ferris wheel that transforms the stage into a living amusement park. Through stunts, aerial feats, and circus performance, audiences enter a world of excitement, laughter, and discovery. Designed for theater lovers of all ages, the production combines contemporary circus with the warmth and nostalgia of a bygone era.
Founded in 2004 by Boston native and German Wheel artist Chris Lashua, Cirque Mechanics blends mechanical invention with circus arts. Its productions combine humor, heart, and physical skill.
“...exceptional, evocative, eye-catching, ear-catching and, to keep the list short, engrossingly entertaining.” — New York Times
