Upcoming Festive Ornament Workshop with Local Artisans, Sat, Nov 14 from 12noon-7pm (taught by various artists in classrooms A&B, prices vary)

You’re invited to our festive ornament workshops! Join us for a merry time celebrating the holiday season with creativity and joy. Gather your family and friends, or come alone, and create your own ornaments alongside local artists. No experience is needed, and all materials are provided. Make one ornament or as many as you want.

Ornament options and costs:

• Custom engraved leather ornaments: Have a name or message engraved on one of four leather ornament designs while you make other ornaments or shop. $10 each. By Devon Lewis.
• Copper ornaments: Use metalsmith tools and techniques to make a copper ornament. Choose from stars, hearts, angels, bells, trees, and more. Family-friendly for all ages; materials provided. $14 each. Pre-register at https://localartisancollective.com/events/nov14ornaments/. Taught by Rene Venegas, a 16th-generation silversmith.
• Ugly sweater ornaments: Embellish a miniature hand-knitted sweater on a hanger, with a variety of sweaters and embellishments to choose from. Add as little or as much as you like. $14 each. • Pressed flower ornaments: Choose flowers and an ornament design, then make three pressed flower ornaments. $15 each or three for $39. Pre-register at https://localartisancollective.com/events/pressed-flower-ornaments/. Taught by Stephanie Howerton.
• Beaded crystal angel ornaments: Create a crystal angel ornament with glass beads. No experience needed; participants should take care when handling the glass beads and prism. $25. Taught by Gaye Hurst.
• Painting pottery ornaments: Choose from Christmas-themed pottery ornaments to paint. Supplies provided. $8. Taught by Jordan Harvey.

More ornament options may be added. Prices vary depending on which ornaments you make.
