Freedom’s Light Festival is a free, 3-day event where American history comes to life through live reenactments, hands-on activities, and interactive storytelling about the nation’s founding and Constitution. The 2026 edition celebrates the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence (a semiquincentennial) and is for all ages.

The festival features:
- Historical reenactors portraying Founding Fathers and Mothers
- Demonstrations by colonial artisans (blacksmiths, printers)
- Cannon and musket firings
- Soldier March
- Recitations of the Declaration of Independence
- Musical performances and a lantern dance
- Themed attractions for kids, teens, and adults
Food booths and a Colonial Book and Gift Store will be available.
Admission is free. Families, schools, youth groups, and history enthusiasts are welcome.
