About

Explore the roots of Alta's landscape.

Grab your skis and join a certified arborist from TreeUtah for an exciting educational adventure across the slopes of Sunnyside. We'll explore the trees that shape Alta's landscape, discuss ongoing reforestation efforts, and uncover the rich history held in their roots. Throughout the tour, we will make frequent stops to closely examine the different species of trees in the surrounding forest and learn about the vital roles they play in supporting Alta's intricate mountain ecosystems.

Tours meet at the top of the Sunnyside lift by the trail map on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month from December through April. No registration is required to participate. Tours are weather conditions permitting.
