About

The Annual Craft Lake City DIY Festival Presented By Harmons is Utah’s largest local-focused art, music, science, and technology event, celebrating handmade creativity. The festival features over 500 local artisans, vintage vendors, youth entrepreneurs, foodies, performers, and STEM exhibitors. It’s open to all ages and includes a wide range of activities, entertainment, and showcases.

Event dates & hours:
- Friday, August 7: 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday, August 8: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (entertainment and performances run until 10:00 PM; Kid Row open 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM)
- Sunday, August 9: 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM (entertainment and performances run until 10:00 PM)

Festival highlights:
- Artisan Marketplace: Shop from 300+ local artisans offering jewelry, ceramics, fiber arts, apothecary goods, and new service-based exhibitors (like tattoo artists and nail artists).
- Entertainment: 3 stages featuring over 30 acts, including local bands, dance companies, and multicultural performers.
- GFiber STEM Building: Hands-on exhibits, games, demos, and talks exploring science and technology.
- Indie Mountain West Showcase: Game developers, hobbyists, and students exhibit games and participate in an awards ceremony (Sunday only).
- Robot Invasion Powered by XMission: Live robot battles, coding challenges, and interactive demos by FIRST Robotics League teams.
- Kids' Area: Inflatables, pirate ship playground, face painting, and hands-on crafts. Activity tickets: $3 for one, $5 for two (for bounce house, face painting, rocket launches).
- Kid Row: Saturday, 12:00 PM–4:00 PM. Youth-only maker market for creators 18 and under.
- Dog Park: The festival is dog-friendly with cooling and play areas. Well-behaved, vaccinated dogs require a separate Dog Ticket (available online or at the gate). Owners must provide proof of rabies vaccination and sign a liability waiver.
- Food: Utah-based food tents and trucks with global eats, plus small-batch treats from craft foodies.
- Beverages: Local beer, spirits, kombucha, juice, and coffee. Water refill stations available.
- Live Screen-Printed Tote Bags: Free all weekend.
- DIY & Demos: Drop-in stations and live artisan demonstrations.
