Miners Day takes place on September 7th in Park City. It is the 130th celebration of the event, which has its roots in 1896 and honors Park City's mining heritage.
Attendees can enjoy a variety of activities throughout the day, including:
- The Running of the Balls: Golf balls race down Main Street, with participants able to "buy" balls to enter. Proceeds benefit local community organizations.
- Mining Competitions: Watch or join in the Mucking and Drilling Competition, showcasing the skills of modern-day miners.
- Miners Day Parade: March in or watch the historic parade down Main Street.
- Bark City 5K Run: Start the morning with a 5K run beginning at City Park. Proceeds benefit local animal rescue groups, and dogs are welcome to participate.
- Breakfast in City Park: Enjoy a free breakfast provided by Saint Mary's Catholic Church. Donations are accepted.
- Live Music, Food Trucks & Beer Garden: Relax in City Park with live music, food, a beer garden, and kids' games.
Some events require registration, such as participating in competitions or the 5K. All ages are welcome at the festival-style celebration.
