Fall Tree Talks

About
Join us in learning all about trees. The Holladay City Tree Committee has some great speakers lined up, and there will be plenty of time for questions. Everyone who is interested is welcome!
September 12: Paul Mulder, Certified Nurseryman from Glover Nursery, will teach us how to help our trees weather the weather and stay strong in all seasons. He’ll also cover how to coexist with deer in your yard. Paul has a passion for roses, too, and will share how to keep them beautiful and healthy.
October 10: Dan Bridenstine from Rocky Mountain Power returns to demystify working with the company. Topics include how to save on utilities, tree-planting guidance, and protecting your home from fires. Utah passed a new bill regulating homeowners’ responsibilities if they are located in the new Wilderness Urban Interface (WUI). Dan will also hold a drawing for a few $200 vouchers to buy a new tree.
November 14: Madeline Sueltz from Jordan Valley Water Conservancy District will present on planting trees. Before you grab your shovel, join us for this presentation! Learn how to choose a tree at the nursery, plant it properly, maintain it, and know when to call in the experts. Whether you’re a first-time planter or a seasoned gardener, this class will help you plant with confidence and create a landscape that lasts.
