Urban Arts Festival is Utah's largest free art festival, rooted in the social and cultural life of the community. It takes place on Saturday, August 22, 2026 at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
The festival offers a platform for cultural art, music, and performance, featuring:
- An artist marketplace with local artists and makers showcasing and selling original art (Art Market Vendor applications are closed).
- Live music all day, with a diverse lineup of local entertainment, dancers, drag performers, and more.
- Live mural painting by over a dozen muralists and graffiti artists.
- The popular Skate Deck Show at Urban Arts Gallery, where attendees can view and vote on creative skateboard deck art.
- Lowriders Custom Car Exhibit and local art installations, including custom lowriders, hoppers, and bikes. Interested lowrider artists can contact Shorty at 801-755-0304 or Josecornejo24@yahoo.com.
Admission is free and open to the public. The event welcomes attendees of all ages and backgrounds.
Festival vendor applications are open until August 1 for food vendors and pocket performers, and until August 15 for volunteers. There is also a media team application for photographers, videographers, and content creators.
Utah Arts Alliance, the organizer, emphasizes a commitment to human creativity and does not allow artworks generated or partially generated by AI in the artist marketplace.
