Urban Arts Festival is Utah's largest free art festival, taking place Saturday, August 22, 2026, at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City, Utah, from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM.
This community-focused event celebrates cultural art, music, and performance. Attendees can explore an open-air Artist Marketplace featuring local artists and one-of-a-kind artwork.
Festival activities include:
- Live music all day, with a lineup that includes bands, dancers, drag artists, and more.
- Live mural painting by more than a dozen local muralists and graffiti artists.
- The Skate Deck Show at Urban Arts Gallery, where visitors can vote for their favorite skateboard deck art.
- A custom car exhibit featuring lowriders, hoppers, and bikes, alongside local art installations.
Aspiring participants can apply for roles including volunteering (open until August 15), food vending (open until August 1), Pocket Performers (open until August 1), and the media team. No experience is necessary for volunteers — just a positive attitude.
The festival offers a diverse culinary experience and welcomes food trucks, trailers, pop-ups, and beverage vendors. It is rooted in supporting local artists and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community atmosphere.
