Miners Day is celebrated on September 7th in Park City. The event highlights the town's mining heritage and offers activities for families, locals, and visitors.
Main attractions include:
- Running of the Balls: attendees can buy golf balls that race down Main Street to benefit local community organizations.
- Mining competitions showcasing mucking and drilling skills.
- The historic Miners Day Parade, which dates back to 1896.
The festivities kick off in the morning with the Bark City 5K Run, which supports local animal rescues, and a complimentary breakfast at City Park. Throughout the day there is live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and kids' games at City Park.
Registration is available for some events, including the parade and mining competitions. Donations are welcome for breakfast, but there is no required fee.
All are welcome to take part in the celebration of Park City's heritage and community spirit.
