Chef Laura
Take your baking dreams from your Pinterest board into your Camera Roll. This holiday baking season, let us handle the boring stuff so you can focus on everything you love about baking: being creative, learning new techniques, and that glorious feeling of accomplishment.
Our cooking school is a unique blend of a helpful learning environment and a fun night out. You'll start with a dinner prepared by a professional chef—hard to learn on an empty stomach! Then watch as Chef Laura twists and turns out three enriched breads: yeast-based dough that has been “enriched” with fat. Ask any and all questions you've been holding onto, then recreate the three breads at one of our workstations. Our team of professional chefs and staff will help keep you on the right track while offering plenty of encouragement.
You'll leave with the three breads you make in class, the recipes we used, and tons of tips and tricks about enriched bread dough from the pros so you can recreate them at a professional level.
The three enriched breads:
- Savory Babka: Savory herbed cream cheese and caramelized onion—complex and beautifully braided.
- Orange Pistachio Pull Apart: Orange, pistachio, and cardamom in a fragrant, citrusy, wonderfully soft shareable bread.
- Brown Butter Cinnamon Holiday Bread: Decadent brown butter and cinnamon jam swirled into a stunning holiday star.
And when we say we handle the boring stuff, we mean it. Everything is measured and ready when you arrive, and we even do all the dishes!
Forget stuffy, awkward meetups. Have fun socializing or focus completely on your bake. Our cooking school is almost guaranteed to be the most fun you'll have in the grocery store.
