About

A Celebration of Color and Conservation.

Explore the vibrant alpine meadows of Alta at the height of wildflower season during the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation’s annual Wasatch Wildflower Festival. Since 1996, this beloved event has been a staple of the Wasatch Mountains—bringing the community together while fostering a deeper sense of stewardship through a colorful, immersive experience.

This free, family-friendly festival offers guided and self-guided hikes, hands-on activities and a variety of engaging educational programs with local organizations. Along the way, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from expert naturalists about local wildflowers, ecosystems and conservation efforts—all while taking in the breathtaking beauty of Alta in full bloom.

As one of Alta’s busiest days of the summer, we encourage everyone to be mindful stewards of the land. Please recreate responsibly by following all Leave No Trace principles and all mountain safety guidelines to help preserve this ecosystem for generations to come.
