About
Craftober Fest is a celebration of South Salt Lake's creative community, featuring local food, brew and cocktails, live music, art vendors, interactive art activities, and more. The event is open to all—whether you're a lifelong resident or a first-time visitor. Attendees are invited to shop, eat, dance, and engage with neighbors and local professionals who contribute to South Salt Lake's vibrant arts scene.
The 2026 event takes place on Saturday, October 3rd, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm at 2460 S. Oakland Ave (between Main Street and West Temple).
Key features:
- Art Vendor Market: Over 100 curated vendors offering fine art prints, custom stickers, handcrafted goods, comic books, and more.
- Food, brew, and cocktails from local partners.
- Live music and interactive art activities.
- Plein Air Artists: 8 selected local artists will paint live at the event and receive a $150 stipend. The completed works will be sold at a silent auction after Craftober Fest, with 100% of the proceeds going to the artists.
- Silent Auction: Held on October 15 from 6:00–8:00 pm at Level Crossing Brewery (21+ to attend), featuring artwork created at Craftober Fest.
Vendor applications close August 14, 2026. Plein Air artist applications close August 17, 2026. Opportunities are also available for volunteers and sponsors.
