Snowshoe with a Naturalist

Explore Alta on snowshoes.

Swap your skis for snowshoes and join us for a two-hour naturalist-led tour of Alta Ski Area. Along the way you'll explore the canyon's unique alpine ecosystems and its rich history—which has shaped Alta into what we know today.

These tours take place on the third Friday of each month from January to April. Tours run 1–3pm.

Be sure to bundle up, bring your snowshoes, and come prepared for a moderate uphill walk—perfect for those who are comfortable hiking and looking for a fresh mountain experience.

Registration required. Tours are weather conditions permitting.

• Open to people of all ages—intermediate hiking abilities recommended
• Registration will open 30 days before the event date
• Snowshoes are not provided—visit Alta Ski Shop for daily rentals
