The Band Memo burst onto the NYC music scene in 2025, quickly earning a reputation for electrifying live performances. Rooted in the spirit of classic rock but guided by a distinctly modern perspective, their sound feels both familiar and forward-looking. Blending virtuosic musicianship with thoughtful, tightly crafted songwriting, The Band Memo’s live sets unfold as a dynamic journey—moving from soaring, guitar-driven peaks and psychedelic dance breaks to moments of raw self-reflection.

After selling out their first two NYC shows, along with a recent sell-out at DROM NYC in the East Village in early 2026, The Band Memo is fast emerging as one of New York City’s most compelling new acts.

In a tapestry of sound, Jenna Nicholls weaves a spell: be it strumming her ukulele with the spirit of New Orleans or crooning a cowboy’s tale with the soul of the West. Her melodies, like vintage vinyl spun anew, carry the weight of memory and the promise of tomorrow.

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, and after a brief stop in Boston, Jenna headed to the Lower East Side of Manhattan. There she honed her craft, pulling on her love of vintage films and the American Songbook and marrying them with modern folk music while collaborating with the many gifted artists of the New York scene.

Jenna has written and recorded four studio albums. Her latest release, "The Commuter," was produced by and features Larry Campbell (Bob Dylan, Levon Helm).

She has been a finalist for the International Songwriting Competition and was the winner of the 2024 Nerfa Songwriting Competition. Jenna has toured nationally with Ingrid Michaelson and has shared bills with Glen Hansard, Lucius, Joan as Policewoman, and The Cactus Blossoms, performing in venues including the Beacon Theater and Carnegie Hall.
