27th Annual 5 by 7 Show – EVERYONE’S FAVORITE LITTLE SHOW

You are invited to participate in the Twenty-seventh Annual 5 by 7 Show. Please make one or two small works for us!

The Kleinert/James Gallery 5 by 7 Show is open to everyone, and all submissions are accepted and displayed. Works are exhibited anonymously, giving equal voice to all—so please only sign the back. Works are sold for $150 each; artist names are revealed when the work sells.

This is a major fundraising event for Byrdcliffe. By contributing a small work, you help support our arts programming, including exhibitions and performances.

EXHIBITION DETAILS

• Monday, November 9, 2026: Artwork due. Email information and an image of your artwork, and deliver the artwork to the gallery.
• Friday, December 4: Opening reception and show sales at the gallery. Entry fee: $20. Participating artists receive one complimentary ticket to the opening reception.
• Saturday, December 5: Works available for sale in the gallery and on the 5 by 7 Show website.
• Friday, December 18: Unsold works are discounted to $75 for the remainder of the show.

SUBMIT YOUR WORK ONLINE
Email your submission to [email protected] by Monday, November 9, 2026.

Include:
- Artist name, title, and medium
- Artist email, phone number, and mailing address
- A digital image of the work in JPG format. Images must be between 1024 and 2048 pixels on the longer dimension. Please send a quality photo, as the image will be used on the 5 by 7 Show website.

GUIDELINES

• You may submit up to two 5 by 7 works.
• Final size must be 5 by 7 inches (or 7 by 5 inches), including the frame. Every year we receive work in other sizes and must turn it away. Why? … it’s The 5 by 7 Show!
• Most works are on unframed canvas board; complimentary boards are available to participating artists. Pick one up at the Byrdcliffe office (Monday–Friday, 12–4) or Byrdcliffe Shop (Saturday–Sunday, 12–4 pm), or contact us to schedule a pickup. You may also use your own equivalent-sized surface.
• All media accepted.
• Sculptural works: 5 by 7 base, with any height up to 7 inches. 5 by 7 shadow boxes are great for jewelry.
• Participants under age 16 should indicate their age on the back of the work.
• Works on paper do not need to be framed.
• Works must be dry and, if framed, ready to hang. Wet paintings are not accepted.
• Do not write your name on the front of the work.
• On the back, include your name, address, phone number, email, and an indication of the top of the work. This information allows us to thank you and inform you of the purchaser if your work sells.

DELIVERY OF ARTWORK
Artwork may be delivered now through Monday, November 9, 2026.

• Drop off at the Byrdcliffe Office (Monday–Friday, 10 am–4 pm) or Byrdcliffe Shop (Saturday–Sunday, 12 noon–4 pm).
• Mail to: Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild (Attn. 5 by 7 Show), 34 Tinker Street, Woodstock, NY 12498.
• To have unsold work mailed back after the show closes, include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

PICKUP OF ARTWORK

• Sold works: Purchasers may pick them up starting Sunday, December 20, 2026.
• Unsold works: Artists may pick them up in January 2027.
• Due to limited storage space, works not picked up by February 1, 2027, will be donated.
