The Care and Feeding of Holiday Plants

Sat, Nov 7 · 10:00 AMto11:00 AM

Location

2479 Western Avenue · Altamont, NY

About

It’s always delightful to purchase or receive those attractive plants at holiday time. Poinsettia, Amaryllis, Christmas Cactus, Anthurium, and Cyclamen are lovely to look at, but how do you care for them afterward?

This presentation will cover care of those plants as well as general tips for all houseplants.

Join CCE Master Gardener Lee Ryan for this FREE class in our greenhouse classroom! Please register by Thursday, November 5 so that we can have enough materials, seats, and donuts.

Lee Ryan joined the Master Gardener Program in 2014. She has a passion for big, bold flowers, with Dahlias as her favorite. She grows many varieties in her own garden. Lee started gardening by growing herbs in her back yard for the fragrances, teas, and healing properties. This spurred her into researching other plants, including so-called "weeds" for their calming and healing benefits.
