Bleeker Consort

An early music consort formed in 1988, specializing in medieval, renaissance, and baroque music and located in Albany, NY, USA.

Members come from a variety of professional backgrounds:
- medicine
- music
- university teaching
- library sciences
- astronomy
- biology
- spanish

They play a diverse set of instruments, including:
- early strings (e.g. vielle, viol, mandola, mandolin, lute, laud, harp, hurdy-gurdy)
- recorders
- reeds (cornamussen, kelhorn, dulcian, crumhorn)
- percussion

In addition, we add period vocals to much of our music.
