"Living into Legacy"
Harvey Fite laid his last stone 50 years ago, in May 1978. The visionary artist and sculptor spent four decades creating Opus 40 and half a century later, his vision continues to challenge us to think expansively about what art can be and what it can become.
"Living Into Legacy" asks us to consider not only what Harvey Fite left behind, but what we are called to carry forward on his behalf.
In the next 50 Years, we ask ourselves:
- What will Opus 40 represent to a wider community?
- Who will Opus 40 serve?
- What stories will Opus 40 and Harvey Fite’s legacy continue to tell?
