Have you ever tried painting with dry media? How about drawing with paint brushes?
In this hands-on workshop, participants will be introduced to the unique qualities and techniques of working with powdered graphite. Learn to develop a range of tones, create soft gradients, and build form from observation, while experimenting with both traditional and unconventional methods of drawing.
Working additively with a variety of paint brushes, participants will be encouraged to embrace the movement and versatility of graphite powder, layered alongside the more distinct mark-making of graphite pencils.
Whether you’re a beginner, or an experienced artist looking to experiment with a new medium, this workshop is an invitation to approach the process of drawing from a fresh perspective.
