JUPITER STRING QUARTET with JON NAKAMATSU, piano

Sponsored by David Abrams in honor of SFCM's 77th Anniversary.

Our final concert of the season will see the return of two favorites: the wonderful Jupiter String Quartet and Jon Nakamatsu, Gold Medalist of the 1997 Van Cliburn Piano Competition. With their commitment to new music as well as the core repertoire, the Jupiter will play Mozart's “Dissonant” Quartet along with a piece by Korean-American composer Juri Seo. Finally, we’ll hear the Jupiter and Nakamatsu in the Dvořák quintet with the unforgettable dumka movement. What a way to end the season!

• Mozart: String Quartet K. 465 No. 19 in C Major, “Dissonance”
• Juri Seo: Respiri
• Dvořák: Piano Quintet No. 2 in A Major, Op. 81
