Ancestral: Altar Foundations & Creating Sacred Ground
Location
About
Join Kristin and Rosa for a shared exploration of ancestral veneration, spiritual traditions, and the creation of sacred space. Drawing from their diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds, including Ifá and the West African Yoruba tradition, Paganism, the 21 Divisions and its Caribbean spiritual expressions, Kemetic philosophy, and Italian ancestral heritage, Kristin and Rosa will offer perspectives, practices, and teachings as a starting point for your own ancestral journey.
Together, we will explore the significance of honoring those who came before us, the role of ancestral altars in spiritual practice, and ways to cultivate meaningful relationships with our ancestors. Participants are invited to reflect on their own lineages, cultural connections, and spiritual curiosities while learning foundational approaches to creating and tending an ancestral altar.
Please bring any small photos, cloths, or other items you may want to use in your personal altar practice, as well as a small item for the collective altar that you are comfortable leaving behind.
