A Creative Makers Gathering

Calling all makers, creators, and thrifting enthusiasts! If your happy place involves handmade treasures, unique vintage finds, and deep conversations with like-minded creative souls, this event was built just for you.
Join us for an intentional, inspiring gathering where we celebrate the beauty of handmade artistry and the thrill of the thrift—all while building meaningful local connections.
Our time together will begin with a fun, meaningful connection & crafty game. We then want to hear your story as you share the inspiration and process behind your crafted items during a cozy, supportive show and tell. Each maker will hand out their items and guests will leave with a basket to hold the collection of handmade treasures. We’ll finish our time with a simple mindful craft to take home.
How the swap works:
- Bring 12 identical (or similar style) handcrafted items that you made yourself. These could be anything from mini art prints, hand-poured items, fiber arts, upcycled treasures, sweet treats, or botanical creations—something you LOVE to make and gift.
- You will hand out your creations to the other guests to add to their baskets.
- If you create 1 additional item (13 total), one will be contributed to our R. A. O. K. (random act of kindness) basket that we will donate to a woman staying in our neighborhood shelter.
What to bring:
- Your 12 handcrafted items (safely packed for transport).
- An open heart, a story to share, and your favorite reusable shopping bag for your new thrifted and gifted treasures.
Classes at Thrifty Connections are intended for adults and suitable for individuals 16+.
Ticket policy:
All ticket sales are final. As a small business with limited class capacity, we are typically unable to refill seats or recover the costs associated with cancellations. For these reasons, all class ticket purchases are final and non-refundable.
Note: Due to working with donated and reclaimed materials, class projects may vary slightly from examples shown in our monthly calendar. We embrace these variations as part of the magic and uniqueness of every session.
