November 14th @ 9pm – Out of the Box

Out of the Box looks forward to returning to 9 Maple with their version of straight-up jazz, seasoned with a bit of funk and plenty of groove to put a smile on your face. Selected as the winner of the Albany Downtown Jazz Competition in 2011, they have been a staple of the greater Capital Region music scene for the past decade.

The core trio—Larry Gravett on keyboards and vocals, Michael Hurt on bass, and Gary Nowik on drums—have worked together for many years. Saxophonist extraordinaire John Savage will join them for a night of jazz in all its forms. Don’t be afraid to leave your seat and move your feet!
