Suitable for ages 10+
Want to get into birding, but don’t know where to start? Come explore the Blue Trail at Karner Barrens as we walk through the preserve and look for birds. Join us this morning to learn how to use binoculars and identify birds by sight and sound.
We will be taking a 0.9-mile moderate hike through various habitats to search for birds of all shapes and sizes, and practice listening for and recognizing bird calls. We’ll slow down, pausing frequently to listen and look for birds and observe their activities. We will have binoculars and field guides to help identify any birds we may encounter.
