Join Haiku poet and president of the International Society of Haiku Poets, Tom Gilroy, for a poetry and nature themed event. You will begin with a short discussion on poetry and how to find "haiku moments" before heading outside for introspection and inspiration, focusing on awareness of nature and staying in the moment. After finding some inspiration, you will head back inside to write your own haiku, guided by Tom. Participation in this event will include membership to the International Society of Haiku Poets.
- Registration is required and capped at 15 people.
- This event is open to adults and children over the age of 12.
- Suggested donation $5 for non-members; current Huyck Preserve members free.
