Museum Gala 2026
June 13th, 2026 — 6:00pm–10:00pm at Forts Ferry Farm
The Albany Institute’s Museum Gala is one of the most long-standing and widely-attended events in the Capital Region. Hundreds of guests will join us as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding.
Guests will enjoy:
- A strolling cocktail hour with appetizer stations
- A seated dinner amid the farm’s gardens and open fields
- Musical interludes
- A spirited live auction courtesy of Sotheby’s
- Dancing under the stars
2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The Gala’s theme is built around this celebration. As part of America 250 commemorations, the Albany Institute will present Albany, c. 1776, an exhibition opening this fall that will illustrate Albany’s place in this history, both political and social.
The Albany Institute of History & Art traces its origins to the Society for the Promotion of Agriculture, Arts, and Manufactures, founded in 1791. Its first president was Robert R. Livingston, who served on the committee that drafted the Declaration of Independence.

Honorary Committee members will be recognized with a prominent listing in both the Gala invitation (responses received by April 10, 2026) and the event program.
