About

This performance is appropriate for Pre-K through 2nd grade. The experience is designed for children aged 3+ and their grown-ups and runs for one hour.

Ocean Blue is a theatrical journey through the wonders of our planet’s oceans. Charlie, a young crab longing for a different life, is swept into danger and tumbles into “The Gully,” a deep-sea trench in the Atlantic Ocean. His plunge launches an adventure across the Atlantic, Arctic, and Pacific Oceans, where he travels alongside migrating whales and sea turtles and encounters extraordinary marine life.

As Charlie learns to survive, adapt, and outsmart danger beneath the waves, he discovers that courage, kindness, and friendship can change the course of even the smallest creature’s life.

Mermaid Theatre of Nova Scotia brings the underwater world to life through puppetry, immersive design, digital projection, and original music. The experience celebrates marine ecosystems and sparks curiosity and imagination.
