Christian McBride & Ursa Major w. Support From Zohar & Adam

Eleven-time GRAMMY Award-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader Christian McBride brings his ensemble Ursa Major to Paramount Hudson Valley on March 11, 2027. Known for his versatility and creativity, McBride has built an acclaimed career spanning jazz, R&B, pop, hip-hop, and classical music, establishing himself as one of the most influential figures in modern jazz.

Beyond his work as a performer and bandleader, McBride serves as Artistic Director of the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. He is also a dedicated educator and advocate for young musicians, and hosts NPR’s Jazz Night in America and SiriusXM’s The Lowdown: Conversations With Christian.

For this performance, McBride is joined by four rising jazz talents: saxophonist Nicole Glover, guitarist Ely Perlman, pianist Michael King, and drummer Savannah Harris. Each brings a distinct musical perspective and an impressive background of collaborations and performances, coming together under McBride’s leadership for an evening of inventive, contemporary jazz.
