Pomanders with Mystic Micha

Create some seasonal magic with Mystic Micha by crafting pomanders. Learn how the Black Death, Pagan celebrations of the winter solstice, and aromatherapy influenced our modern holiday traditions and celebrations.

Pomanders combined ritual, magic, and medicine. Once used during the Black Death to keep miasma at bay, these aromatic artifacts have origins in antiquity and practices associated with Saturnalia, which established many of today’s holiday traditions. Pomanders have since transformed into the aromatic decorations we use to celebrate the holiday season.

Fresh citrus, cloves, cinnamon, and other spices will be used. Please let the librarian know as soon as possible if you have any allergies to these substances.
