About

TEMPO Lounge — Tuesdays from March 31 to June 9 • 10:30 am to 11:30 am

Join us for our Spring Season of this daytime community music offering.

Kingston Folk Choir explores vocal harmony traditions from:
- the Americas
- the Balkans
- the British Isles
- Caucasus Georgia
- Corsica
- Sardinia
- Ukraine
and always some more surprises.

All are welcome regardless of prior experience. Songs will be taught mostly by ear, with occasional sheet music.

Led by Eva Salina, founder and director of Driftwood Chorus, and a lifelong singer of traditional music. She is a mother, singer, gardener, and community music educator who believes sometimes the simplest ideas (community! harmony! traditional music!) are the medicine we need to build a better world.

To read more about Eva you can visit evasalina.com, and for any questions about Folk Choir please email her via chorus@evasalina.com.

$10-15 suggested donation per class, all are welcome.

Event is in Tempo Lounge. Enter the building through the side door on Hunter St.

All donations support Tempo Kingston, a project of Kingston Music Initiative (KMI).

Kingston Music Initiative is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, recognized by the IRS. Our EIN is 99-0864420. Contributions to Kingston Music Initiative are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
