Pig Out 2026

Pig Out 2026 is a food festival in Downtown Troy on Sunday, August 16, from 12 PM to 5 PM. Admission is free, with food and drinks available for purchase.

Attendees can sample $4–$5 bites from local restaurants and food vendors competing for the Pig Out Champion title, and vote for their favorites as they explore downtown.

The festival features a wide range of signature dishes, creative bites, and local favorites, including BBQ ribs, pulled pork, brisket sliders, nachos, tacos, mac and cheese, and more.

There is a Hot Dog Eating Contest sponsored by Famous Lunch, with signups at the BID booth on Broadway across from McAddy's starting at 12pm. The contest has two rounds at 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. Winners receive a trophy, a special Pig Out hot dog hat, and tickets to an upcoming comedy show at the Palace Theater Albany.

Live music takes place at various downtown locations throughout the afternoon:
- Main Pig Out Stage (5th and Broadway): Flavour: 1:30pm - 2:30pm; DJ Intell Hayesfield: 12-1pm, 3-4pm
- Monument Square: Pat Gioia: 12:30pm - 2pm
- Ryan’s Wake Parking Lot (403 River St): Trevor Collins Trio: 12 - 3pm; Blues for Breakfast: 3pm - 6pm
