Jailhouse Horses Book Signing with Debbie Miles at The Book House

Second chances, with a few Thoroughbreds along for the ride.

Join The Book House of Stuyvesant Plaza for a signing with local award-winning writer Deborah Miles and her book, Jailhouse Horses: True Tales of Inmates and Thoroughbreds. Miles spent time with men caring for retired racehorses, and the book shares how the horses helped change their outlook on the future.

The book includes exclusive photographs and stories of a man who chants the Quran to his horses, aspiring entrepreneurs, and dads who just want to be there for their kids—from their upbringing to life after release.
