Sunflower Acrylic Painting Workshop
Instructor: Patrice Jarvis-Weber
Inspired by Georgia O'Keeffe's 'Sunflower, New Mexico, 1' — Georgia O'Keeffe painted sunflowers on only three occasions. Create your own sunflower masterpiece by layering strokes of bright yellows on the petals, painting vivid green on the leaves, and surrounding the sunflower with a bright blue sky.
Using the vibrant and bold medium of acrylic paints, learn how to build your masterpiece by color mixing and layering techniques. Patrice provides instruction in a welcoming space for you to have a fun 2-hour painting experience and will help you bring your art to a finished piece. All abilities welcome. No framing necessary.
About Patrice:
Patrice has been part of the Adirondack art community for over 25 years. She has worked as a photographer, calligrapher, sign painter, and now as a teaching artist. She was part of the staff at Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council, organized community art events, and was a board member of the Lake George Arts Project. Throughout her career she has taught art to all ages. Patrice teaches freelance painting classes across the region. Many of her 2-hour classes are inspired by the art of the masters.
