Relatively new on the Albany music scene, Joanne's Driving the Bus brings a spirited mix of Rock, Pop, Soul, Rhythm, and Blues covers that light up audiences. Front woman Joanne DelCarpine leads the way with soaring, soul-felt vocals, rhythm guitar, percussion, and an easy stage presence that draws people in. Accompanying her is a first-rate lineup of seasoned music masters — Bob Nieman on lead guitar, Paul Rosamilia on bass, Ben Rau on drums, and special guest Azzaam Hameed on keys.
The quintet is thrilled to ply their talents to the grooves of the mid-1970s for the William K Sanford Town Library's 50th Anniversary Celebration. Get ready to Get Down (boogie oogie oogie) at the library!
