About
The Eighteenth Annual Youth Movements Festival, titled "Carnival of Nature," will feature music, art, dance, poetry, and theatre.
- Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 7 p.m. — Recital Hall
- Sunday, April 19, 2026, at 3 p.m. — Main Theatre
This festival will focus on music about nature, animals, weather, plants, and climate change. In addition to a complete performance of "Carnival of the Animals," the program will include Beethoven's "The Storm" from his Pastoral Symphony, Scott Joplin's "Pineapple Rag," Florence Price's "Dance of the Cotton Blossoms," Janacek's "On an Overgrown Path," MacDowell's "Woodland Sketches," Rimsky-Korsakov's "Flight of the Bumblebee," and many other works.
We hope to shed light on some environmental issues while also presenting playful representations of animals, insects, flowers, and weather.
