About
Lake George Village Oktoberfest is a free-entry event held October 9–11, 2026, on Canada Street across from Shepard Park. The festival transforms the heart of Lake George into a Bavarian-style street fair for Columbus Day Weekend.
The event features nonstop German and polka music, traditional dancers, an Adirondack Brewery Beer Garden, local artisan vendors, carnival rides, crafts, bratwurst, knackwurst, weisswurst, stein hoisting, keg tossing, potato pancakes, local wine, a chicken dance with the dancing chicken, fall foliage, and more.
The Adirondack Pub & Brewery Beer Garden offers German food and a variety of craft beers, cider, wine, and non-alcoholic options. All food and beer in the beer garden are cash only; ATMs are available onsite.
The festival is family friendly, with children’s activities such as crafts, games, and carnival rides. Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome. The event is held rain or shine, with large tented areas available if needed. Free parking is available at 1 Canada Street and nearby side streets.
