About
Karyn Kuhl first received national acclaim for her early bands Gut Bank and Sexpod, which grew out of the vibrant Hoboken music scene and the legendary club Maxwell’s. (“Gut Bank’s The Dark Ages is one exceptional debut album.” — Robert Palmer, New York Times.) Over the past 20 years, she has released 10 LPs, EPs, and singles, and performs as a solo act and with the Karyn Kuhl Band.
Currently at work on a new album, Kuhl released two songs, “No Traces” and “The Tower,” on Dromedary Records in April 2024. They were produced by Charlie Nieland and Larry Heinemann, respectively. (“Here we find her delivering a strong pair of songs that make one hopeful for an LP. The a-side is a solid confessional rocker while the flip is a darker cinematic trip. Grab this!” — The Big Takeover.) Her third single, “Cat Swamp Road,” produced by Larry Heinemann, is out now on streaming platforms and available for download at karynkuhl.bandcamp.com.
“We know Karyn Kuhl can howl with the best of them. How divine that she can also create such a powerful experience with a song that barely rises above a whisper.” — The Constant Listener. “Kuhl’s elegant and hypnotic voice and colorful melodies make her solemn and evocative songs about heartbreak and alienation linger after each listen.” — Cindy Stagoff, njarts.net.
Kuhl’s latest single, “Up The River,” was produced by Larry Heinemann and released in April 2026. “Heinemann’s production threads the tension beautifully—guitars hover like ghosts, bass lines murmur with menace, and the drums land slow and solemn, as if marking time for a reckoning.” — The Constant Listener.
Karyn Kuhl will be accompanied by Charlie Nieland on guitar and Billy Loos on percussion at The Park Theater on November 21, 2026.
Beauty in the Dissonance is the musical duo of singer/songwriter Laura Katie and award-winning singer/songwriter Eric Scott Klein. Their sound falls at the intersection of Americana and Dream Pop. Based in NYC, they bring lush vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and cinematic production to modern ears. Decades after going their separate ways as college friends, Laura Katie and Eric reconnected as adults to craft songs about the ghosts of their past and an unearthed romance. Together, they bring a rich performance that reweaves the tapestry of Americana with a needle dipped in nostalgia and inked in Dream Pop modernity.
Their sound has been described as “modern, cinematic Fleetwood Mac” and “Hozier meets Lana Del Rey.” Their genre-blending sounds and poetic lyrics explore lost love, reunion, sobriety, and their musical and personal lives—a testament to pursuing dreams in any chapter of life.
Anne Stott is a singer/songwriter, actor, and political rabble-rouser who has released three full-length albums and a handful of singles over the last 15 years. She blends ’80s alt-pop and ’90s grunge filtered through modern soundscapes to create songs that light fires and heal wounds. Her latest album, Watershed Synapse Experience, was produced by Barb Morrison (Debbie Harry, Rufus Wainwright, LP) and teems with bold aural atmospherics. Its lyrics range from intimate observations to global visions to astral flares. LADYGUNN says, “There are no labels that could define Anne Stott or that could limit the power of her music.”
