The Bluebillies Celebrate 20 Years Of Old-Time Gospel Revues Honoring a 100-Year Family Legacy
Hudson Falls, NY — Sunday, May 31, 2026 at 3:00 PM. The Bluebillies return to the historic Strand Theater for their 20th Annual Old-Time Gospel Revue, an uplifting afternoon of music, memory, and deep-rooted tradition.
This year’s performance carries extraordinary meaning, marking the 100th anniversary of the Bathurst Family Singers, a pioneering gospel group founded in 1926 by Roland J. Bathurst. Known for their powerful harmonies and family-centered performances, the group included all seven of Bathurst’s children and featured the voice of his youngest daughter, Bonnie Mae Bathurst—mother of Bluebillies founder Melody Guarino. Now, a century later, that musical lineage comes full circle.
Blending Americana, gospel, and old-time roots music, The Bluebillies have built a reputation for spirited, authentic performances that feel as much like a gathering as a concert.
Joining the celebration:
- Hanna Hinkle Wizeman, traveling from Melbourne, Florida, great-granddaughter of Roland J. Bathurst. Her songwriting, shaped by personal trials and grounded in faith, offers messages of hope, healing, and joy.
- Marty Wendell, Rockabilly Hall of Fame member, whose dynamic presence adds another rich layer to the lineup.
Audiences can expect a moving and memorable program of timeless gospel favorites, original songs, and stories that weave together past and present. More than a concert, this event stands as a living testament to 100 years of music, faith, and family tradition.
